How to reset your account in Sage Earth Carbon Accounting, and what the function will do.

Why would I need to reset my account?

You might need to reset your account if you want to start fresh or remove all existing data.

What happens when I reset my account?

Resetting your account will result in your company reverted to a blank, unconfigured state. This will delete:

  • All emissions data entered in Modules

  • All synced transactions and their categorisation (manual and AI)

  • Your company details from the Business Profile

  • Integration with your accounting software

Your subscription status to all Sage products including Carbon Accounting is unchanged. The logon details and roles for you and any other users in your company are also unchanged.

To continue using Sage Earth Carbon Accounting after an account reset, you’ll start again at the welcome form and will need to re-enter your industry, division, and revenue information and then start the categorisation and data entry process again.

Note: Once your account has been reset it cannot be restored – we would recommend contacting us first using the chat function if you have any questions.

How to reset your account

  • Log in as an administrator user.

  • Go to Settings > Reset Account.

Remember all data will be permanently deleted. Ensure all team members are aware they should remain logged out until the process is complete.

  • Select Reset Account and type Reset to confirm.

  • Continue to the welcome form to re-enter your business details and begin calculating your carbon footprint again.
