Your business information plays a key role in calculating your carbon footprint. It is crucial to review your details by exploring the sections in the Business profile. The Business profile has three sections: Business details, Revenue data and Workplace addresses.

The Business details section contains key information specific to your business: your company name, financial year start date, industry, industry division, country and currency. These details should reflect your input during setup.

If you’ve entered incorrect information in this section while completing the welcome form, you may need to reset your account to amend it. If you have any questions about this, contact us before resetting.

Enter your business’s revenue details in the Revenue data section. This helps Sage Earth Carbon Accounting to calculate an industry average footprint for businesses like yours.

Sage Earth Carbon Accounting requires at least one revenue entry to calculate an industry average footprint. To add new revenue data, select a past complete financial year and enter the revenue generated in this year. Changing or deleting a revenue entry will affect your industry average footprint calculation. You’ll still be able to compare your footprint to an industry average, but the amount will be different.

In the Workplace addresses section, add all of the addresses employees may commute to, and indicate when any premises are no longer in use. This information is required to generate your employee commuting, hybrid, and home working emissions. If your business is fully remote, skip this step.

The navigation bar along the top of the screen gives you various options.

This will take you to an overview screen where you can check your subscription details, your business details, and the ability to add tasks. This page will also allow you to toggle to Sage Accounting, Payroll and HR, if you are subscribed.

Within Profile you can amend your Account details such as names, email addresses, language preferences as well as your privacy settings – please note this is for all of your Sage products, not just Sage Earth Carbon Accounting.
