You are seeing this message because you are about to import financial data from an accounting package and you have already added some data in Sage Earth Carbon Accounting. Some existing data may be overridden:
Any data you've already added relating to usage (such as kWh of energy used, or kg of purchased goods) will be retained.
Any data you've already added relating to spend (such as £ spent on energy, or £ spent on purchased goods) will be retained if the date of the spend is before the Start Date you've selected for the accounts integration.
Any data you've already added relating to spend will be deleted and overwritten if the date of the spend is on or after the Start Date you've selected for the accounts integration. This is to avoid double counting that would occur if the system retained spends added manually and spends imported from your accounts platform for the same period.
If you are happy to proceed then click on continue – please note the imported data will require categorisation within the Transactions section to be completed.
Please note the deletion of manually added spend data is not reversible. If you wish to keep this existing data you will need to alter the dates from which you wish to upload your accounting data.
